As far as scooping ice cream, it just works. I don't why it works so well but it does. This baby cuts through ice cream smoothly and effortlessly. It replaces one of those scoops with the liquid in the handle. I can honestly say this is the best ice cream scoop I've ever owned.It's solid and very, very strong you would need a 16 pound sledge hammer just to bend it. I went through several ice cream scoops and I finally found this one.If you want to buy one scoop in your life that wont break or rust, buy now! I grew tired of buying the crap at local stores that rusted or broke. Get a stainless steel scoop with no moving parts and you'll be handing it down to your children cause it will last a long time.That is why I got this scoop and so far, it's living up to my expectation it is a good scoop. i like the size of the handle, the weight of it, and the point on the tip...these things make it a bit easier to scoop hard ice cream.
