The Perfect Push Up-Basic makes it easier and safer to do a push-up concerning your wrists. It can also make it more challenging by deepening the push-up. Keep in mind that if you don't want to go deeper, you don't have to. For those just starting out, the Perfect Push Up-Basic can either be a tool 1) to ease or eliminate any wrist problem you have and/or prevent it while also functioning as an apparatus to allow you to focus all your efforts into the push-up, and/or 2) if desired, to make a safer and deeper push-up. They easily snap into place and are extremely well-made. The grips are amazingly tacky and the rotating disks are natural, effortless, and noiseless. The tacky grips are needed for when you are sweating and doing push-ups, the sweat will glide down your arms and onto or around your hands. The grips eliminate any chance of you slipping. Totally impressed with this item. You can also use these when doing girl push-ups (of which I'm doing some at this statge). Seriously, I use these 2-3 times per week. They really help my wrist. I've been using the Perfect Pushup Basic faithfully for about two weeks now, following the included workout plan, and these bad boys definitely do work as advertised. I'm getting good results, results I can already see in my chest and biceps (of course, by week two, I'd added in a bunch of exercises with dumbbells, too). The clever design of the Perfect Pushup takes the strain of doing pushups off your wrists and provides a more thorough muscle workout than doing them without it. Plus, it's fun to have a neat little gadget like this. I think this is an excellent product. My wrists don't ache any more. The price is good as well, as I have seen higher in stores. The only thing I would recommend is that you are comfortable with doing push-ups, otherwise start on your knees. These do give you the perfect push-up, but they are slightly harder and work more muscles. Don't be discouraged, just stick with it.
