Ozeri Fascina Electric Wine Bottle Opener and Corkscrew
When you want to take all the physical effort out of opening a wine bottle, an electric wine opener is probably your best bet. Powered by a small battery-charged motor, electric wine bottle openers typically require you to center a tubular opening over the bottle, press a button, and watch the worm drill down to extract the cork. These are particularly good for those with limited hand strength, though there are a couple of downsides: They're typically designed to sit out on the counter, potentially taking up valuable space. Also, if your unit isn't charged, you'll need a manual opener or you're out of luck.
All you have to do is hold the unit's opening on top of the cork, press a button and wait for the cork's removal. Because it's so easy to operate. Electric Wine Opener is a sleek and attractive rechargeable unit with a powerful enough motor to make short work of all sorts of corks.
This thing is awesome! Gone are the days of me trying to uncork a wine bottle and screwing it up royally. Too many times I've gone in crooked or gone to far or not far enough or somehow managed to get more cork in the wine than wine in my glass. No more! This guy works like a charm and looks super stylish too.
In the product you'll get a foil cutter, the wine opener, and the charging base. The cutter worked great to remove the foil from the wine (though here's a pro-tip, you can ALWAYS just slide it off the wine bottle with your hands and never worry about cutting it poorly again). The opener works even better. Just place it on top of the bottle and press the button. It will drive itself into the cork and then pull it out of the bottle. You can then use the reverse button to get the cork out of the opener.
The charging base makes for a good display if you're into that, though keep in mind that it will perpetually glow blue. That is one downside to the product. The easy solution is to unplug the base if you have it stored somewhere that you mind the blue glow. I think it's pretty cool for when you have guests or if you're having a wine party, but if it's just me and the wife I leave it unplugged. They say you can unscrew 8 bottles on a single charge, but I haven't tested it that in depth. I'll admit that it's hard for me to imagine needing to uncork that many bottles of wine in a home setting. I guess my point is, if you're thinking commercial use maybe look elsewhere. For home use this thing is fantastic!
